Bible Verse For Today 9th May 2025 Friday Reading John 1:1
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Message: “The Eternal Word Made Known”
This verse opens the Gospel of John with profound and foundational truth: Jesus is the eternal Word.
Before creation, before time, He already was. He was not created—He existed eternally with God, and in fact, He is God.
This verse reveals three powerful truths:
Eternal Preexistence – “In the beginning was the Word” – Jesus was already there.
Divine Relationship – “The Word was with God” – Unity and fellowship in the Godhead.
Deity of Christ – “The Word was God” – He is not just a messenger; He is the message and the God behind it.
This declaration isn’t poetic metaphor—it’s a divine revelation of who Christ is. He is God’s voice, God’s essence expressed, and He stepped into creation to bring light and life.
When we receive the Word, we are not receiving ideas or theology—we are receiving the living Christ.

Prayer: Welcoming the Living Word
Father, I worship You for the revelation of Jesus, the eternal Word. Before the beginning began, He was. He is with You, and He is God. Thank You for sending Him not only to reveal Your truth, but to bring us into relationship with You.
Lord Jesus, the Living Word, I receive You afresh today. Speak into my darkness and bring light. Speak into my confusion and bring clarity. Speak into my weakness and bring strength. Let Your voice drown out every lie of the enemy.
May Your Word dwell richly in me and shape my life. I declare that You are not just the beginning of creation—you are the beginning of my life, my purpose, and my eternity. In Your mighty name, I pray. Amen.
